Dr Marawan El Farargy is a Consultant Interventional Radiologist on the GMC Specialist Register. He completed diagnostic radiology training in Glasgow, followed by subspecialty interventional radiology training across Hull, Reading, and London.

Approach to patient care
Patients reach Pinhole Clinic in different ways. Some are referred by their GP or another specialist; others contact us directly to find out whether interventional radiology has a role in their care. The starting point is the same in either case: a careful review of the diagnosis, imaging, and overall clinical picture, and a joint conversation about whether a minimally invasive procedure is the right step.
The wider team
Findings are shared with the patient’s GP and with any other specialist involved in their care, so that the wider clinical team remains informed throughout. Where a procedure is not the right step, this is communicated clearly, and the patient continues under the care of the appropriate team.
Pinhole Clinic
Pinhole Clinic delivers consultations and procedures at Hertfordshire Private Healthcare at Lister Hospital. Interventional radiology is a recognised consultant-led discipline within Clinical Radiology; decisions are made jointly with the rest of the patient’s clinical team, with each specialty contributing its own expertise. Findings and recommendations are shared with the referring clinician and the patient’s GP.
Dr El Farargy holds a substantive NHS Consultant post at East and North Hertfordshire Teaching NHS Trust. He has no financial relationships with device manufacturers or pharmaceutical companies that would influence the procedures or treatments recommended on this site. Any conflicts of interest will be disclosed to patients at consultation.
